DDT Support
Obtaining Support
The DDT userguide is installed as part of the DDT product, press F1 when running DDT or select "Help" from the menu bar to display it. The userguide is also located in the doc subdirectory of the DDT installation path. You can read the userguide here

Release History
The current DDT version is 2.5.1-12323. More complete information is found in the release notes, which are part of the installation bundle.
2010-06-18 - DDT 2.6 released.

2010-01-21 - DDT 2.5.1-12323 released. This fixes an issue with the licence server whereby the licence server would only serve licences in its current directory.
2010-01-07 - DDT 2.5.1 released. This version fixes a number of important issues with the original 2.5 release. If you downloaded the original 2.5 release it is strongly recommended you upgrade to this release.
2009-09-22 - DDT 2.5 released

- Improved source browsing and searching - new auto-completion
- Queue support further enhanced to allow submit, cancel, etc to be specified in the template file

2009-03-20 - DDT 2.4.1 released. Support for Cray SHMEM, Checkpointing (gdb + OpenMPI), jobs manually launched from the command line, multiple executables and MPMD.
2008-08-22 - DDT 2.3.1 released - roll up of recent fixes, including failure to get ranks automatically during startup for Open MPI and MVAPICH. Includes workaround for broken frame output in ICC/IFC 10.1 when compiled with -O3.
2008-08-05 - DDT 2.3-9652 patch release: fixes problem with C++ STL wizard.
2008-07-25 - DDT 2.3 released. Faster handling of larger C++ codes and codes with many shared libraries. Support for catching exceptions. New platform NEC SX8 Vector systems. Enhanced queue submission options - allow users to set walltime or similar at submission time. Support for plugins - including the MPI checkers Intel Message Checker or MARMOT.
2008-04-25 - Patch release for DDT on Cray XT4 (2.2.1-9226) - simplifies installation: no longer requires addtional configuration if /tmp or $HOME is not available on the compute nodes.
2007-12-17 - DDT 2.2.1 released - fixes for some issues with DDT 2.2 with run to here, cross process comparison, and creating process groups from running/paused process sets. Better scrolling of large groups in "old-style" process groups window. New default (optional) breakpoint for MPI_Abort.
2007-11-19 - DDT 2.2 released - new scalable process groups, support for Cray XT4/5, faster message queue debugging, add manually added source directories recursively, and much more!
2007-10-02 - DDT 2.1.3 released - fix for problem checking out licences in DDT 2.1.
2007-08-06 - DDT 2.1 released - new powerful array viewer, more scalable threads, faster performance on slow X connections, and support for IBM Cell BE.
2007-03-30 - DDT 2.0 released - OpenMP support, improved user interface, heap overflow/underflow memory debugging, extended signal information, a graphical installer and much, much more!
2006-08-05 - DDT 1.10 released - new Fortran module browser, faster data visualization, new parallel stack viewer, faster startup for standard MPICH, command line options for attaching, and automatic job start, support for GCC 4/4.1, new source tree browsing.
2010-01-21 - On some systems the Visualize button in the multi-dimensional array viewer may cause an "assert" abort - this is due a bug in the Mesa OpenGL library.� Upgrade you Mesa installation to resolve this issue.

Further issues and workarounds can be found in the DDT release notes of the DDT installation (ddt/doc/RELEASE-NOTES). Users should also consult the appendix of the userguide to note any platform/compiler/MPI issues that could affect debugging.
